Children of Darkness

Dreamers created a faction of dark creatures, which are both ugly and beautiful. The children of darkness are born from the darkness and worship it as their supreme god. Creatures created by dreamers still have a penchant for long-disappeared phenomenon such as religion.

At a first glance, these creatures appear to be evil and possess dark souls. However, this is not true. Despite their grotesque appearance, they do not wish harm on anyone who does not try to claim the Terra Sancta. Isn't the special ability of this faction necromancy and bringing the dead back to life? This is not quite so. This faction can revive fallen warriors, but unlike in necromancy, the reincarnated creatures return to life without the “undead'' characteristic. These reborn creatures are not scary, nor do they possess characteristics from the other world. The darkness consumes the dead and also brings them back to life under the rays of light.

Special abilities

When this faction is in play, all defeated creatures are placed into a special pool. At the end of each turn, you must choose one figure of any faction from the pool and roll a d16. If a 16 is rolled, if you are lucky and your figure is brought back to life. A black token is placed under the figure that has come back to life. If it's a small piece, it receives 5 health points (if its maximum is 8 health points). If it's a large piece (has more than 8 health points max), then it receives 10 health points. The revived figure is placed on the playing field in an empty cell next to any cell where children of darkness are standing. It is impossible to revive any king from the pool.

Opossum

Opossums died out during the second entropycalypse, but information and images of these creatures that once inhabited the earth have survived. It is known that once they were creatures of the night, therefore it was quite logical to create them as children of darkness, they are darkness itself. These are small figures, but despite this, they create serious power.

Gargoyle

Due to a lack of historical records, there is little information about what these creatures ate or their habitat. Photographs of buildings (in particular, religious buildings) have been preserved. The buildings themselves were destroyed during the period when people still fought among themselves using their knowledge to create powerful weapons similar to mushrooms. It is quite possible that these creatures died out even earlier, however, they played an important role for the humanity of that time, as they were depicted by statues on the religious buildings. There is no information as to whether the ancient people worshipped them as gods. It is also not known whether they really lived at night, but the Dreamers decided that they belonged among the children of darkness because of the gargoyle's stout appearance.

In the case of an attack with this figure, you must announce out loud the path that the figure will use to attack. A d16 is then rolled, if the enemy piece is not killed, the attacking piece must move back to any free space away from the enemy on the chosen path. See main rules for understanding knight movement.

Wolfer

There is an ancient legend about these creatures, that spoke of people transforming into wolves during the full moon. In fact, it is known that these animals existed on their own without transforming into humans. They walked on two legs, had muscular ribs and thick fur that protected them in the harsh winter climate where they lived. Unfortunately, due to their warm fur and poor adaptability to rapidly changing climate conditions, they died out during the first entropycalypse.

One of the religious legends says that God (the supreme being) initially created two people. He then created a third person - a woman. She had wings and a tail. It is known that humans descended from primates, lemurs to be exact. Winged women hardly ever existed, although there are still several legends about winged women called sphinxes. Nevertheless, the Dreamers decided to create her - the queen of darkness. A beautiful woman with slightly creepy grotesque wings.

Lord of Darkness

People used to die. In culture, death was portrayed as an image of a living being that wore a dark cloak. Much later in history, the brother of death appeared in the image. He was the lord of darkness and although he did not take life, he was very similar to his brother also wearing a long dark cloak. Humanity at that time believed that he should be invisible to most, believing that if someone can see death, he himself will meet it soon.

The discovery of the 24-colour spectrum made it possible for the Dreamers to create a completely transparent creature. They realised that some animals and people perceive colours differently. As a result of evolution many animals can see the nuances of the full spectrum of the 24 colours. Humans on the other hand are limited in their perception of colour and are only able to see light reflected within three colours - red, green and blue. As a result, humans perceive certain colours as transparent. Once the dreamers learned of this weakness, they used the colours that the humans perceived as being invisible to create a transparent lord of darkness, according to the legends of the ancient people.
