Bots

In the distant past, humans advanced technologically and created machines that could fight for them, so that they no longer needed to physically fight each other. One of the last wars that took place was between these machines. Unfortunately, people's technology was limited and the machines they created spiralled out of control and started to fight among themselves for resources. This period was known in history as the Machine War. Humans did not pose a threat to the machines and unless a person was accidentally caught under the wheels of a bot and killed, no one suffered from the bot's actions.

The machines collected water, which they converted into hydrogen fuel. This constant collection of water transformed their territories into dry deserts. This practice continued until the water shortage became so critical that the people decided to unite and intervene, starting a new war - People against Machines. As we know, the people of that time were the most dangerous creatures in the universe and easily defeated their creations.

The Dreamers created a race of bots that was based on the descriptions of the same bots that existed during the Machine War. Bots used rail guns as weapons and could destroy each other from a far distance. The Dreamers had not used ranged weapons (or any weapons) for a long time, but created bots with this ancient technology to believably recreate the bots.

Special abilities

Bots have a permanent special ability of ranged attack. Every figure can make a melee attack or ranged attack. Melee attack is described for each figure below and it is individual for the figure type. Ranged attack of every figure of this faction is the same. Every figure can attack an enemy on the distance of 2 cells from it in any direction or diagonally. If any figure blocks the path of such an attack, it cannot be performed. You choose if you want to attack by ranged attack or melee attack. You roll the same dice as for a melee attack to determine the damage dealt. In case of the ranged attack, the figure stays in the same position.

Bots cannot use a ranged attack on the king of any faction, they must perform a melee attack on these types of figures.
